Introduction To Sellers
Welcome To TwinComanches.com
Selling Your Airplane Deserves More Than a Listing
You know your airplane is more than a year, a model, and an asking price. Its maintenance history, equipment, modifications, and the care it has received all help tell its story. A buyer needs to understand those details before recognizing its value.
At TwinComanches.com, we help owners present exceptional airplanes with the care and detail they deserve. Randy and Nick Africano bring experience from over 450 aircraft transactions to the process. We represent sellers selectively, and only when we believe we can stand behind the aircraft and appropriately articulate its value to a buyer.
We know the airplanes we represent
Randy has been a pilot for 55 years and an aircraft owner for 50 consecutive years. He has owned and flown over 90 piston, turboprop and jet aircraft including every model of the Piper Twin and Turbo Twin Comanches and the Miller and Robertson conversions. This gives us firsthand ownership experience to draw on when evaluating an airplane, discussing it with buyers, and addressing their questions.
Before agreeing to represent an aircraft, we'll survey it against our standards. We want to completely understand its condition, history, equipment, and market position. That initial work also helps us give you a candid assessment of what it may take to maximize the airplane's value and sell it successfully.
No second chances for first impressions
That's why it's vitally important that your airplane be presented professionally and in complete detail from the start. We provide your aircraft with a complete webpage on TwinComanches.com including a detailed photo gallery with over 100 professional pictures. We take the time to repackage your aircraft records, in new tabbed binders. We digitally scan every logbook, and we insure all of your logs and records with $1,000 reward stickers we place in every book. We provide your buyer with a digital keychain so your records are always with the aircraft and your valuable logbooks remain in a safe place at home or in your office. Finally, we retain a complete digital record of all your aircraft correspondence.
We make the aircraft's value understandable
An asking price alone does little to explain an airplane with years of careful maintenance and valuable improvements. We prepare a detailed appraisal that examines the aircraft and accounts for its aftermarket equipment and modifications.
We then build a comprehensive presentation for qualified buyers. Depending on the aircraft and available records, that presentation includes photographs and specifications, aircraft and engine and propeller logbooks, FAA Form 337s, Airworthiness Directive information and status, the Pilot's Operating Handbook, parts and maintenance manuals, and our assessment of value.
The goal is to help a serious buyer answer important questions early and arrive at an inspection well informed. Thorough documentation cannot replace a prebuy inspection, but it can make the entire transaction more productive for everyone involved.
We know that selling an airplane can be personal.
You may have spent years flying it, improving it, and caring for it. We will treat that history with respect while giving buyers the clear information they need to make their own decision. We handle the conversations and the details.
We speak directly with prospective buyers, explain the aircraft, and address questions throughout the transaction. When a buyer is ready to proceed, we help manage the offer, purchase agreement, prebuy inspection, negotiations, and closing.
A selective approach, from the first conversation
We are interested in representing airplanes we can evaluate thoroughly and present with confidence. We would rather give an owner an honest answer than take on a listing simply to add to an inventory page.
